I am a beginner who wishes to learn Japanese in order to communicate verbally.
I have developed a close friendship with a Japanese woman over the 2 years that she spent in Australia. She has now returned to Japan. Although Yukino speaks English very well, I would like to be able to communicate with her family and friends. I intend visiting Japan next year.
I would like at least 1 lesson and preferably 2 each week for several months. I learn best with visual prompts and phonetic sounding, so romanized Japanese information would be best for me.
I am well into my forties and have never felt confident to learn a language although I have several university degrees! I would need a very patient teacher!
