I think I'm a mid level beginner. I can read katakana and hirigana, recognize about 100 kanji, have simple conversations about interests, work etc.
I can work with most -te forms, adjectives, most particles and have a good grasp of the past, non-past and present progressive tenses.
I would like to be able to speak and read Japanese.

Hello.
My name is David. I'm fluent in both French and English. I am going on a trip to Central and Eastern Europe for 3 weeks in June and would love to be able to interact with the local in their native language. My level of proficiency is the one before beginner. To be honest, I don't know any German. I'm very determined to learn a general understanding of German before I leave for my trip. I'm willing to dedicate as much time as it takes to able to have a conversation with someone that speaks German. I'm looking for a teacher that knows how to teach to different types of learners (visual, auditive). I find that a good mix of both would help me learn faster.
