I am learning Slovak because I have family who live in Slovakia. I have been learning French and Arabic because I also have family who live in Morocco. I like to visit and keep in touch with everyone. I can read childrens books in Slovak with a dictionary. I understand verb conjugation and basic grammar. I understand and can use the nominative, accusative and instrumental declensions. I still have trouble with the dative, genative and locative (easy to confuse prepositions) . I understand the future tense, but have difficulty knowing how to form the correct verb pair (u, vy, roz, etc). I can read Teen and adult French books without a dictionary. I watch TV5 America and can easily understand most programming when people are speaking clearly with little to no slang. I have trouble speaking on my own because I do not do it often enough. I would like help with conversationa l Slovak and French for perhaps 2 hours per week.
