I am a parent of a child who is in the beginning stages of learning Mandarin Chinese. Interested in a tutor to teach my child basics and to advance to conversation level. Parent will always be present during the session. Child's current level of proficiency is counting, colors, basic phrases. Parent has Mandarin Chinese language workbooks as curriculum if needed. Will be willing to drive and meet at public library for sessions.

I studied in a Chinese school since I was a kid until 2nd year high school. I am familiar in basic Fookien and mandarin languages particularly counting numeral numbers and speaking few adjective words like beautiful (ya-sui) and others. However, I already forgot most of what I had learned because I do not usually speak Chinese most of the time. My friends and my relatives speak to me in our native language which is either Tagalog or English. I want to learn Mandarin Language because I have a Chinese blood (50%), my parents are both half-Chinese. Although my physical features are not a 'Chinita' look, I still want to learn speaking my foreign language so I can be proud to myself plus it will help me to increase my self-confiden ce. It is also an advantage in my present job, specially if I have Chinese clients. The areas which I think will be needing for improvement are conversation and specially the correct tones in speaking mandarin language. I can dedicate my free time in learning mandarin. I am working 5 days a week and I am willing to allot once a week for my language lessons. I am looking forward to a teacher who will patiently teach me and who has also a goal in helping me to learn speaking mandarin language. I am hoping after studying mandarin, I can able to talk to my Chinese relatives in mandarin language fluently.
