Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am interested in learning Mandarin as I am actively looking for employment in Singapore. I feel this will add strength to my resume.
I would like a beginners course as I have absolutely no knowledge of the language at the present time.
I would like to learn spoken and written Mandarin with special emphasis on conversationa l Mandarin, both social and business.
Since I mostly work six days a week I would prefer online coaching/ notes on weekdays and lessons in person on Sundays.
I would like my teacher to be able to provide me with strong basics as well as tools to further my learning by myself. I would also like my teacher to guide me on the role of Mandarin in the work place in Singapore, specifically in a Marketing/ Communication / client facing set up.

I'm learning Mandarin Chinese in order to communicate more effectively with my Parents and Sister in Law in Guangzhou. We frequently travel to China for visits and now that my son is born, I want to be to learn to speak. I have learned what I can from a book but now need more interaction with others at my level. I'm at beginner level even though I've been learning from a book for about 1 year. For myself tones in the context of a whole sentence are harder for me. I want to dedicate enough time to learn properly. My teacher should patient and understanding as Mandarin is difficult for Westerners to learn, but not impossible. Also needs to be able to teach effectively and clearly.

Hello!
We are a group of 3-4 very enthusiastic students who are hoping to take 3 hours of chinese a week from Jan 4th until the 17th of March as we are leaving on an exchange to Shanghai for 4 months.
