I am just completing my degree in 'Russian Studies' from the University of Calgary, but I am not satisfied with the speaking ability required by the University. Despite my degree, I am far from comfortable in Russian, and I would like to work on this.
I am not a beginner, but I don't know that I am advanced, either. Perhaps intermediate level.
I am looking for any sort of lessons - something I can work on now that I am out of class.

I want to learn a new language, and since I live in Canada, I figure I should learn the second language - French. I am a beginner. I need improvement in everything. I want to be fluent in French. I would like to dedicate a minimum of 4 hours/week to my language lessons. The qualities I am looking for is someone who is thorough in their teaching, someone who is extremely patient and someone who is kind. I would prefer a woman.

I'd like to learn Mandarin without any special reason,
I just think languages are nice and learning a new one is wonderful.
S ince I am in Vancouver I am more confronted with the chinese culture than I am in Germany where I come from and I became interested in it.
My level is that I know nothing apart from asking *how are you?*
I work part time and would like to learn Chinese every free day I have which would be 2-5 days a week.
