I was in French Immersion until the end of grade 4, then it was basic french lessons until grade 9, and I haven't really done much with it since. I want to expand my career opportunities as well as being able to converse with relatives in Quebec, Northern Ontario and New Brunswick without forcing them to speak English.
C onsider me a beginner because I can't even keep up with a conversation. I would like to learn to be able to have an intelligent conversation. Not necessarily big words, but enough to get my points across, or help make a business decision down the road.

I'm a beginner but I do ha some working knowledge and can form some basic sentences and phrases. My verloofde is South African and while he has given me some lessons, I want to surprise him with my improved knowledge of the language the next time we see each other.
I'm preferably looking to meet about once at week for an hour at a time (or whatever works for you, I am flexiable) to work on mainly speech bu reading and writing as well. I would like a teacher who is paitient, has a sense of humour and is willing to work with me to because a natural at Afrikaans! Baie dankie!
