My husband and I will be traveling to Italy July 20. My husband has a desire to be able to speak the language enough to communicate. If I can determine that we can learn enough in this short time to do so, I would like to give this as a birthday gift to him. My proficiency level is zero. I have never studied Croatian. I can say, 'hello. how are you' and not much more. I majored in Spanish in college and have always had a desire to learn a third language - i picked Croatian in attempts to communicate to my boyfriend's family. I wish to dedicate at least an hour a week to lessons in addtion to my personal practice and study. The most important qualities for a teacher are proficiency in grammer, patience, and someone who teaches about culture as well.

My proficiency level is beginner. My mother is Italian and I was never able to grasp the language (would love to surprise her by becoming fluent in the language). I would need to start from grammar and work my way up to conversation. I want to dedicate as much time as I can probably 1 to 2 hours per lesson. I am seeking a teacher who will teach me, make it fun, and who will enjoy my eagerness to learn the languange.
