I am a professional of Indian background with an American upbringing and very basic Punjabi language skills, interested in weekly Punjabi tutoring over next two months (Dec 08 and Jan 09) and perhaps beyond, with goal of basic fluency for conversations with family members in America. Prefer to meet in my office or home in San Francisco, but can meet at other locations in the city. Would like to meet for 1-2 hours per week. Focus is on conversation rather than written Punjabi.

I'm not exactly sure what to write here, haha. I want to learn japanese and done about all I can by myself. I find most anything japanese very interesting - culture, history, language, ect. I think I understand the sentence structure pretty well but I could be wrong as I have no one to tell me if I'm right or wrong. I would like to atleast be as proficient as a native japanese student finishing high school. Any time I can have a lesson I would like to use, and would be willing to work around a schedual if need be. Preferably someone who has been to Japan and knows it well cause I have lots of questions but honestly anyone who knows the language well enough to teach it.
