Hi, I'm Ari. I'm a native English speaker and I just returned from living in Nara, Japan. I don't want to lose my Japanese, and I'm trying really hard to pass the JLPT level 2 as soon as I can, so I'd like a tutor or lessons to help me stay on track.
I'm not sure if I'm at the intermediate or advanced level in my Japanese. I can read kana and a few hundred kanji. I can hold conversation and understand most of what is said to me. I mostly need to improve my fluency, grammar, and I need to learn enough kanji to pass the JLPT 2.
I can dedicate as much time as you can to teaching me! I'm looking for only native speaking teachers.

Hello,
I lived in Suratthani, Thailand for one year from 1996-1997 as an exchange student. When I left, I was conversant in Thai and was beginning to learn to read and write. I will be returning to Thailand for three weeks in May for my host sister's wedding, and I would like to refresh my conversationa l skills before I return. I am interested in spending 1-2 hours per week in lessons, probably beginning in February 2009. It would be helpful if my teacher could provide me with exercises so that I could practice outside of the lessons.

I am a beginner. I picked up a little sign language from seeing others using it and from some children's books.
I would like to learn sign language to be fluent for career advancement.
I would like to dedicate most of my free time after work and between other classes to learn sign language.
