I would love to learn how to speak Portuguese fluently, being my family is from the Azores. I was born in the United States and my parents were never strict on me learning. I do understand a lot of Portuguese when spoken to, but have never had the confidence to respond back in Portuguese.
I suppose I would be a beginner, but I know common things like colors, seasons, certain verbs, an understanding of conjugating, how to have a very basic conversation, as well as counting and numbers.
I would like to have a lesson once a week, maybe for a couple of hours depending on the rate.
I'm looking for someone who is actually from Portugal, not Brazil. Who is punctual and dedicated, someone who loves teaching.

I am interested in learning Russian for several reasons, I have three children and I would like for them to learn a second language and be fluent in that language when they are older, my husband and I wish to use the language as a family language that will be used in our home everyday. We are beginners, but we are eager and fast learners, I have purchased a few Self teaching books, and have been reading about the Cyrillic alphabet, pronunciation s and ect.
We wish to spend as much time learning Russian as humanly possible, My husband works a great deal and is unable to spend as much time as I can , I’m a stay at home mother and all three of my children attend school during the day, which leaves me lots of time to study and practice.
The type of teacher I’m looking for is someone who is either a native speaker, or has lived in Russia for a few years. I feel that the only way for you to be truly fluent in a language is to have lived and used that language in it’s native country. When my husband retires we wish to move aboard and we desire to know the language, as best as one can without ever having lived in the country itself.
