I have just started learing Persian on my own. I want to get a headstart on learning before attending IU. I know the alif-ba, and I'm on lesson 9 of 'An Introduction to Persian' by Thackston. I try to study an hour a day on my own. I need someone to correct my mistakes, with feedback and answer questions I may have.

konnichi wa, I have studied Japanese for only 1 semester. I think I am still beginner. I am learning this language because for many years I have been fascinated with the Japanese culture. I am currently going to college and I know how much I need to focus on a new language. I can estimate about 1-2 hours a day. Depending on flexibility of teacher. Teacher can be male or female. I prefer someone who is Japanese and has studied in Japan. But over all I just want to learn as much as I can A.S.A.P. Thank you for your time.

My wife would like to learn Italian as she has fallen in love with the country during past visits.
I am considering buying lessons for her as a gift (dependant on costs, logistics, etc.)
