I am learning Arabic because my husband is Lebanese-Amer ican. We would like our children to speak Arabic fluently and Arabic is not my native language. I would also like to learn Arabic to help my understanding of the Qur'an and Hadith.
I have taken Arabic Beginner's grammar in college. My conversation is very limited. My reading is excellent as I learned how to read the Qur'an from a young age. I am proficient at writing. I can understand more Arabic than I can speak.
I would like to primarily focus on my conversationa l skills. My goal is to be able to understand the various dialects, but my focus is on learning Lebanese-Arab ic. I would like to improve my knowledge of Fusha' Arabic, but this is not the priority at the moment.
I woul dlike to dedicate as much time as I can within my budget. My goal is to become as fluent as possible during my time in Dubai (around 2 years).
I am looking for a teacher that organizes strong lessons focusing on vocabulary development, conversation skills, and grammar. I would like to find a teacher with experience teaching Arabic to students who have English as their native language.

My interest in foreign languages is a personal interest which I hope to develop into a professional resource at a later time. I currently have practically no foreign language experience save for the Spanish course from my days in high school. This makes all areas of the language studies areas that I need to improve. My ability to allot time to my Language studies is dictated by my full time job as well as my full time formal educational pursuits. Once commenced I will not take lightly any requirements for studying the language, but I will need flexibility for certain periods of time and understanding that I may not be able to dedicate 20 hrs a week to this particular study.
As far as an instructor is concerned I take feedback very seriously and expect to be informed when I am not doing something correctly, but I also expect to be shown respect for my attempt to learn despite any difficulties which may present themselves through the learning process.
I also have an associate interested in learning as well and would like to be able to include this individual in the learning process so either private instruction or instruction with this associate is preferred to open classes/large r groups.

I lived in Kuala Lumpur for six years as a child and learned Bahasa while I was there, eventually sitting the IB Malay language exam. I'm not sure exactly how to rank my previous proficiency level, but I was able to converse fluently about everyday topics. I had to leave and come back to the US about 8 years ago, and my Bahasa has gotten very rusty since then due to lack of practice. I enjoyed learning and speaking Bahasa, and I'd like to regain what I've lost of the language, and continue to improve to improve my reading and writing skills, as I could speak much better than I could read or write.
I'm currently a full-time student and also work, so I can only spend about 1-2 hours a week on lessons, although I can practice some on my own. I'd be open to either in-person or online lessons by Skype or something similar. I need a teacher who can be flexible, as some weeks my other classes might make it impossible for me to practice or have a lesson, particularly around exams or when major papers/projec ts at work are due.

I am a serious student of the holy Bible. In order to study the Word of God more profoundly, I want to learn Greek & Hebrew. I believe that there is still much undiscovered revelations in the Holy Bible which due to language barrier can not be fathomed. I am more involved in Christian Apologetics and before starting my missionary journey I want to equip with every spiritual blessing that God will pour out on me.
I want to begin learning with Greek as records of Jesus Christ in New Testament are in Greek. I would appreciate help from any teacher who can assist me.
