I am a beginner in Urdu, having taken a year of once-a-week tutoring and also being exposed to Urdu speaking environments through my in-laws. I (used to) know the Urdu script (need a refresher) and know some basic greetings etc. I do have a rusty vocabulary of maybe 200+ words.
I am striving to become fluent in Urdu because it is my husband's native language, and that used by my in laws (both here and, of course, in Pakistan) as well as his friends. We are hoping to have a child, and plan to raise the child bi-lingually. I'd like to not be left out of those conversations , smile.
If it is possible to offer the lessons close to DC then two times a week would be great! If I need to travel to VA (I do not own a car, so am hoping things can be metro-able) maybe once a week (likely weekends) would work.
I prefer a teacher who is understanding of different learning styles and different levels of confidence in language learners. I am an interpreter myself, and so have some experience in the acquisition of a second language.

Hello,
My names is Silvia Gallo. I would like to study Italian in Italy. I would consider myself a beginner. I am of Italian decent. My father is from Calabria. I grew up in America and I am currently working on Italian citizenship. I would like to live in a small flat in Italy for a few months. I am a beginner. I wish to be able to converse with our daughter-in-l aw's parents who live in S. Korea. I need a good foundation in all aspects of the Korean language, and I am willing to spend 2-4 hours per week in class and at least one half hour per day in self-study. I am looking for a native Korean with teaching experience. I would like to be in a small class with other students for whom Korean is not their first language.
