I have been studying German on my own for about 6 months now. I know about 1000 words, and have a fair grasp of grammer. My objective is to learn to speak the language, and on that score, I have hit an impasse. I need to hear the language being spoken, to think in German, and to respond correctly. I would like to learn Bosnian/Serbo -croatian, because I would like to be able to travel to the former yugoslav countries and communicate with citizens there. I am absolute beginner, although I have extensive foreign language experience and am a quick learner. I would like to improve my skills in all aspects of language: grammar, vocabulary, conversation, etc. I am currently studying and finishing up my MA, but could dedicate a few hours a week to studying language. I am looking for a teacher who is qualified both in the language and is a good teacher. I appreciate teachers who are honest, challenging, but also patient.
