I have accumulated lots of experiences in teaching Chinese to non-native speakers, and I integrate multi-media into the teaching and learning process, which makes language learning an easy and inteactive experience.
I help students with their listening through interactive exercise like listening test and games, encourage students to watch and appreciate Chinese movies, provide online learning materials, offer voice chat conversationa l practice, and help them with their Chinese essay writing.

I was born and educated in HK and moved to the UK for my postgraduate degree in 2004. I am native in Cantonese and can speak very fluent Mandarin, and I can use both traditional and simplified Chinese up to a professional level.
I have been teaching and tutoring Chinese in the UK since 2004, and have worked in different educational settings including college, independent school, and Sunday school. I also offer private tuition to individuals and groups to all levels.
Besides teaching I also offer freelance interpreting and translation services.

Do you offer lessons in students' home?
Yes, and I am happy to arrange a classroom if preferred.
Do you offer online tuition?
Y es, I am happy to offer online tuition through Skype or MSN. It is a flexible and comfortable way to learn Chinese and I strongly believe that a 15 mins chat in Chinese everyday would make a big difference!
What is your teaching schedule?
I mainly work as a freelancer so I am very flexible. I am available in the daytime Monday to Friday, but I dont offer face-to-face tuition after 7pm in the evening. Online tuition is available anytime of the week.
What is your payment policy?
St udents can pay for each lesson or if it is regular tuition, they can choose to pay monthly. I accept payment by paypal, cheque, bank transfer, cash and moneybookers.
How about learning materials? Do I have to buy any books?
I will provide learning materials and handouts, and these are included in the tuition fee. If you would like to have a textbook or dictionary, I am happy to suggest one but you will have to buy it yourself.
I am also interested in learning Chinese culture, what can I learn from you?
I always try to integrate Chinese culture into my lessons and definitely you can learn something about Chinese customs, festivals, taboos, and courtesies through learning the language.
