During the lessons, the student is completely immersed in the language, as they would be when living or working abroad. We make sure that our students look forward to their next lesson and are always aware of their rapid progress. Culture-speci fic aspects such as sense of humour, politics, local food and traditions will be discussed depending on student requirements.

Program Description

We teach French and Romanian, in an absorbing and interactive way, to give the colloquial language skills necessary to enjoy your time in other countries. We run a small, friendly language school, which can provide tailor made tuition, either face to face, or by telephone. All of our support materials are included in the lesson fees, and we provide full back-up between paid tutor sessions.

Teaching Experience

I have been working as senior tutor at my language school for the last two years, teaching French and Romanian to adult learners. These learners have used their skills in various fields, for business and travel.
Pr eviously, my teaching experience was in teaching geology and geophysics at university level, in different languages to students of different nationalities , while working in England and France.

Teaching Applied Geophysics to MSc. students at the University of Reading (UK) in 2000 and 2001.
Teaching Field Structural Geology to BSc. students on behalf of Imperial College of London (UK) in 1993, 1995, 1996, 1998, 2006.
Workin g in the Underwater Acoustics section of the CNRS-Marseill e(France) in 1997.

Teaching schedule - flexible, although frequent lessons (weekly) are recommended because they ensure continuity and faster progress. Session length will depend on the student, although most students find that 1 to 1 1/2 hour sessions work best for optimum concentration and memorising of the information received.
Lessons can either be face to face or by telephone, or a combination of both.
Paym ent policy - Payment by Paypal or by cheque with guarantee card. Payment can either be per individual lesson, or lessons can be booked in advance in blocks. If paying individually, we request payment within 48 hours of a lesson.
We are now offering free trial lessons for a limited period. These lessons will be by telephone, and will allow you to see whether our teaching style works for you. They will also allow you to try out this very convenient way of learning.
