Teaching Approach

I start you at basic ABC's and 123's so you get a good foundation from the beginning. If you are past the ABC's we can move on from there! Flexibility is they key! I encourage my students to go to silent dinners and coffees so that you get native signing experience with Deaf people.

Program Description

I am here to teach you American Sign Language! It is important that you understand that each country has it's own signing system and if you intended to use your signing outside the USA it will be of no use.

Teaching Experience

I have been signing since 1995 and I have been teaching deaf children and ASL as a foreign language for 5 years.

Teacher Training

I have a BA in Deaf education and I am a member of the Florida Educators of the Hearing Impaired. I am also preparing to be certified by ASLTA.

What is your teaching schedule?
My teaching schedule is very flexible during the summers but is restricted during the school years.

What is your payment policy?
Cash , check, or money order will be accepted.

Where do you hold the class?
I live in Dade City but can meeting you in Tampa. I would prefer to meet in a local library for safety purposes if you request 1:1 or small group classes.

Cost of Lessons

If you would like 1:1 classes, they are $200 per session or if you would like to purchase a monthly package you get a reduced cost of $700. That's $100 per month! Each class lasts 2 hours. You can also sign up for a small group of 2-3 students for $100 per session each. I can also provide trainings to corporate classes. (including deaf culture and how to interact with deaf clients or employees) for $100 per hour.
