Teaching Approach

My lesson plans encompass cultural nuances, traditions, and customs that enrich the learning experience for my students. I teach conversation, reading, and writing Hindi and English to non-native speakers.

I am a published author of children's fiction and non-fiction books, educational books, comics, and coffee-table books.

As a school counselor in New Delhi, I developed and taught emotional literacy curricula for eight years.

I'm currently teaching (in-person) Hindi to American adults.

I hold an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Delhi, India, and have lived all my life in India. I recently relocated to the US.

A. Homework reinforces learning. Homework can and should be fun, not dreary.

Q. I love Bollywood! Can our lessons include Bollywood references?
A. Yes! I find that Hindi learners familiar with Bollywood do well with understanding nuances of the language and culture and building their vocabulary.

A. Yes! I have over 8 years of teaching experience in schools.
