My method is to combine vocabulary lists and grammar instruction so we can create conversation. we choose the topics that we are going to study in the upcoming weeks and I give them an order in which we are going study them. Moreover, I always have a lesson plan before I start teaching. My lessons are based on my readily prepared Course book from beginner to intermediate levels, and If requested, I most likely can prepare the lesson according to the student's needs. Students do not need to be prepared much in advance but are just required to complete homework If taking the course which course books are applicable, students are required to be present with them. and general rules, Students need to listen to instructions and rules composed by the teacher. Apart from these, let us just have fun learning Khmer.

Program Description

These lessons are suitable for anyone wanting to learn the basics of Khmer or to improve existing skills further. The main focus lies on practical conversation skills, getting familiar with the script, the pronunciation , and understanding the basic grammar rules of Khmer. We will hold our lesson on Zoom and I will send you a recorded version after each lesson for you to practice by activity listening over again as well. Depending on your needs, I will structure our lessons according to that. We can shift our focus to writing/ reading listening if preferred. I will provide a PDF book.

I have been a Khmer to foreigners for 7 years. I have so many students, they are from different countries. I teach students at the Australian Embassy and private schools.

Teacher Training
|

|
I finished my bachelor's degree in Khmer literature in 2018 at the Royal University of Phnom Penh. I also finished my master's degree in linguistics in 2022 at the Royal University of Phnom Penh too. Moreover, I also completed and got a certificate from a Pedagogic at the National Institute of Education (NIE) teaching. Now I work as a Cambodian language teacher at Hok Srey Mom School.
