Teaching Approach

Educationally I hold a Masters degree and a diploma in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL). I also hold numerous certificates for preparing international students for English exams and for tutoring English online classes. My native accent comes from the south east of England but I can teach north American English as well (both are fine for IELTS). I have also worked international ly (Paris) and understand the needs of people who work in international organisations and companies. I also understand how difficult it is to learn a foreign language — and the importance of an understanding teacher who can guide you to the next level, correct your mistakes, and maintain your momentum. Program Description

I help international students to perfect their use of business English and also help them to get a good band score in the ‘Internationa l English Language Testing System’ (IELTS). My lessons are one-to-one online video calls and I focus mainly on the speaking part of the IELTS exam. I do this because students find this one of the most difficult parts of the exam. However, I also help to improve the other three skills (listening, reading, and writing). Most of my lessons tend to be conversationa l but I always try to cover at least one point of grammar and some new vocabulary. Mo nday to Friday but weekends and evenings are also possible.

Plea se make payment at least 24-hours before the lesson starts.

Wh at is your cancellation policy?
- If a student cancels a lesson with more than 24-hours notice, a full refund will be issued
- If a lesson is cancelled with less than 24-hours notice, no refund will be given
- If a student doesn’t attend the lesson, no refund will be given
- If I (the tutor) cancel any lessons for any reason, a full refund will be issued and an opportunity for the student to reschedule the lesson will be offered
