Teaching Approach

In my teaching and learning process I use different teaching approaches depending with my learners level of understanding .some of the approaches I use are; The direct method. This is the oral or natural method.It involves active participation in both listening and speaking.
Th e Audio lingual approach. This method is based on the repetition of phrases and dialogues about everyday situations.
The grammar - translation approach. This approach is based on the analysis of the written texts, dialogues and comprehension .These approaches enables me to attain my objectives when teaching the language.I am patient with my learners and give them extra activities to help them understand the lesson better.

Program Description

Hello, my name is Tr.Maryclare. I teach swahili language and I enjoy doing it since I am a native speaker.I do online lessons through zoom meeting and google meet and I use English as my language of instructions. My lessons are interactive and I get to interact effectively with my learner.I like using real life examples or experiences to make my learner understand better.I also incorporate other tools like videos, pictures, discussions and role play in my teaching and learning activities.I give assignments or take home activities to help my learner practice more and I am always available on phone or whatsapp incase of any assistance.I am flexible in terms of time and my learner gets to choose the best time for him or her.My objective is to bring up a well developed learner in the language through all the four language domains that is; reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Teaching Experience

I have teaching experience as a trained tutor and a teacher.I have been teaching in my country up to date. I also do language tutorials to a foreigners from Sweden and china.

Teacher Training

Am a certified trained teacher with a bachelor degree in Education .I have also trained in international teacher training. I have also worked in several schools in my country as a teacher and taught Swahili and English to foreigners.
