I leverage on the various 21st-century skills and teaching methodologies in teaching my foreign students. These strategies have proven to be effective over the years.
First, I am well-grounded in the use of technology. I can operate any digital application with ease. This is the very reason I excelled in my teaching career during the online teaching and learning activities during the Covid-19 induced lockdown.
As stated earlier, I am a certified TEFL facilitator. Having undergone Teaching of English as a Foreign Language programme, I have the adequate knowledge and skills to teach foreign students. Though it is an English Language programme, the knowledge and skills acquired in the programme can be used to teach Igbo Language. I have done well in my dealings with the Chinese and Arabian Learners.
In addition, my technical skills as a graduate of English and Igbo Linguistics is an added advantage. When I teach Igbo (as a native speaker), I use my strength in English Language as a Master's Degree holder to drive home my points smoothly. I usually tap from my knowledge as an English Language expert, to teach Igbo Language, even though I am a native speaker of the Language.
Another skill that helps me to teach my foreign students is my high level of creativity. I try to figure out the best plan to use in any of my classes. During planning, I put into consideration the aspect of anticipated challenges, the areas of strength of the learners and activities that would help them practice the language.
These and some other strategies make my lesson unique to some extent.

I am Donald Uwanaka. I am a linguist. I studied Igbo and English Linguistics. I graduated in 2008, and I have been teaching both languages since 2009. I teach in secondary schools in Nigeria. I am a native speaker of Igbo Language: Imo State origin. I am proficient in Igbo Grammar, Literature, Culture, Writing, Speaking, Reading and other aspects of the language. I teach the language with ease: not many people do it better than I do.
I studied English as a Second Language. I hold a Master's Degree in English Language. This is complemented by a certification in TEFL. I have had the opportunity to teach Chinese learners and Arabian Learners online, and I have done well in that aspect.
I am applying for an opportunity to teach Igbo Language, as a native speaker of the language in your establishment . I am certain I will do well.
