Depending on student's needs and aims, I try to adjust and select several teaching approaches and techniques, and together with a student, we design a customized course that would meet student's goals. One of the most effective and useful approaches I like to use in my lessons is the communicative approach, as it evolves not only grammar but communicative skills which are the key to the interaction. In the lessons, we talk a lot about different things a student is interested in and make many curious exercises to make the student more confident and able to apply the knowledge received in the classes in real-life situations.

Program Description

I use a customized approach in my classes as every student has his/her own learning goals. Once the learning goals are set, I choose the teaching instruments. They may include an intensive grammar and conversation- oriented program, or an exam preparation program, or a specific one I develop according to student's needs. In my classes, I use a lot of authentic materials and tools such as videos, recordings, articles, texts, and so on.

Teaching Experience

During my bachelor studies, I gave lessons in state schools and gymnasiums and learned how to organize lessons in order to make them as effective and informative as possible combining various approaches and applying a bunch of techniques. At the same time, I started working as a private tutor and I taught students of different levels and ages with a diverse international background, starting with beginners who have just started acquiring the new language up to those who wanted to prepare for international exams.

I have experience teaching in state schools and gymnasiums. The age category of my students was from 4 to 14 years old. We were using a specific curriculum that required mixed teaching approaches depending on the age.
After that, I decided to explore another teaching and learning environment, which was a private language academy. I was working with teenagers and students from 14 to 22 years old. Undoubtedly, the students' groups were divided according to their level and goals. I had experience preparing students for the IELTS exam and for international academic exchange programs (Erasmus, academic mobility, degree applications) . At this moment I am working with professionals from 25 to 60 years old where we are focusing on general and business English. I have been conducting classes online since 2018. I am very passionate about teaching and languages in general and I am excited to grow as a professional.

-What kind of classes do I teach? How does it work?
I mainly offer two types of classes - general and conversationa l ones. I also help in language exam preparation, which is a completely different class that requires different approaches and preparation.
First, I suggest students a 30 minutes free trial class. At the trial class, we get to know each other and I ask my students questions about their learning goals. I conduct an express level test to know the current language level. We also discuss our strategy and schedule. Once the strategy and schedule are set, we start our learning journey.
At the general class, we work on four essential language skills - reading, writing, listening, and speaking. We work on the grammar, using various materials. I provide students with homework and check it before the class.
Conve rsational class is mainly about speaking practice, correcting mistakes, and expanding wordstock.
-How are the classes conducted?
I conduct classes via Skype. I offer individual classes and in a small group of 2, 3, or 4 students.
If we face any technical issue, we use alternative platforms.
-How do students book a class?
A student has to contact me via a private message where we first schedule our trial class. Then we discuss our further learning steps including booking the classes.

7 pm - 9 pm
SAT and SUN
10 am - 1 pm
2 pm- 8 pm
