Teaching Approach

My lessons are unique because I am a teacher and have learned how to actually teach a second language as opposed to just being a person who speaks a second language. I know the steps required for mastery of a language and the art of pedagogy with both children and adults.

Program Description

The lessons are tailored to the individual students' needs and wants. If a student only wants conversationa l Hebrew or English then reading or writing is not included. However if there is a desire to learn conversationa l, reading and writing then lessons are a combination of all three. It is important to determine the end goal and the needs of the student as to why they want to learn the language.

Teaching Experience

I have been a classroom teacher for over 20 years, nine of those years I have taught English as a second language in the UAE. 10 of those years I've also taught conversationa l Hebrew to both children and adults. I have a Masters in Education, certification in reading, and advanced degree in educational administratio n which I used during my tenure as an assistant principal. I've also studied Arabic best I understand the similarities between both Hebrew and the Arabic language.

Frequently Asked Questions

My availability is flexible. Discounts are given for more lessons in a week. From my experience the best lessons are in person. If you are serious about learning a language you must be willing to study outside of the lesson time. For every 1 hour of lesson time, you must be willing to study for at least an hour on your own to be successful. My students who have studied with me conversationa l English have always scored between a 7.5 to 8 on the ILETS conversationa l and written exams
