Teaching Approach

I will give you lesson plan, the objectives and some fun exercises for you to do in order to deepen your Bahasa.

What makes it more fun with me is that because i come from the island in indonesia, called Borneo and by learning Bahasa with me, you can get to study about indonesian culture from forest person like me.

Program Description

Hello i am Emma. I am 38 years old and i can teach you to speak Bahasa (Indonesia) and i promise it will be fun and entertaining because You will also be learning about our culture.

I can teach early learner (beginner) and advanced.

I have taught foreigners when i was in new york recently and still sending out my lesson to few of them.

Teaching Experience

I have been teaching (English) for more than 10 years in Indonesia, in Borneo. And start teachig Bahasa when i came to New York in 2017.
The method is basically the same as teaching English, it is i have to make certain adjustment in approaching my Bahasa students because mostly they are adult and there are challenging for me.

I used to give my beginners pictures and tell them to pronounce the capital in Bahasa and learn it together how to spell and pronounce those words correctly.

- Bachelor degree in English Teaching from Mulawarman university Indonesia

- A Participant for Student Exchange program in South East Asian countries

- Bahasa Teacher for Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in New York in 2017 (for their culture promotion Winter class)
