Teaching Approach

My teaching approach was developed through my MA in Theatre in Education. Through-out my research, I not only evaluated a range of teaching practices and methodologies but their psychological effectiveness on a range of different learners. I also developed an approach that utilises Drama skills and practices to aid confidence, develop accurate articulation and pronunciation , and produce scripts, roll plays and imagination exercises to enhance sustained learning by infusing knowledge together through cognition and muscle memory. Learning therefore is fun and well-remember ed. The foundation of knowledge, however, is taken from Cambridge English resources and students therefore will have both an academic framework for learning but also develop confidence and have fun whilst easily extracting information necessary to use in everyday activities.

Program Description

My program of study aims to teach native British English through a range of different sources. It is developed by initially evaluating the student’s unique style of learning and formulating this knowledge into a be-spoke plan. The program is developed through these four key components:

1- Learning styles (Evaluate using VARK assessment)
2- Goals and requirements (Why do you want to learn?) (What do you enjoy most about learning?)
3- Past learning experiences and knowledge (What do you already know about the subject?) (Has anything made you dislike learning?)
4- Introver ted extroverted personality and innate behaviours? (How confident are you?) (Do you enjoy presentations or silent learning?)

Teaching Experience

10 Years experience teaching Cambridge exams KET-CAE, GCSE, A Level and BTECH English.

Teacher Training

Qualified to a Masters level with additional teaching qualification s in: QTLS, DTLLS, PTLLS and TEFL.
