Teaching Approach

The main purpose of teaching is to provide the appropriate environment for the development of all the learning dexterities: reading and listening comprehension , writing and speaking ability.
The method mostly used is the Communicative one which allows the use of multiple communicative games and other activities. As a result the teaching becomes more direct and vivid and the learning process more pleasant for the students. Another advantage is that, in this way, the teacher prepares the students for the real-life communication needs, so as they will be able to respond on them properly and successfully.

Program Description

All the activities which take place during the lesson are very well organized according to the demands and needs of each class. Communicative activities, such as the role play, are considered as a very significant tool for the students to exercise in using the foreign language.

Teaching Experience

I have been working for the last 7 years in the "Hellenic Culture Centre" in Greece as a teacher of the greek language to foreigners adults. The "Hellenic Culture Centre" is a private school for teaching Greek as a foreign language. Except of the language courses the programm offers a wide range of other cultural activities.

- National University of Athens,Philos ophical School, Department of Philosophy, Paedagogy, Psychology.
- Master in: "Theory and Praxis in Teaching and Evaluation of Students", University of Athens, Greece.
- PhD candidate in: "Teaching Greek as a foreign language".
- I have taken part in four seminars about teaching Greek as a foreign language which were organized by the Hellenic Culture Centre in Athens.
