Like I mentioned above - my approach is to make the lessons very personal to the student's particular needs and have fun when we learn. I want us to talk about many different topics to improve vocabulary, and I teach grammar in those contexts, so the student is more likely to remember the correct structures. We will also do a variety of listening, grammar and reading tasks in class, and mostly writing tasks for homework. I like to use videos and online pages for practice exercises or games. If you are preparing for an exam (e.g., IELTS), we will focus on practice exams and strategies to improve your score.

I have 4 years experience teaching English and 1 year teaching Spanish, in language schools, in student's homes and online via Skype. I have more experience with adults, typically business professionals and university students. My classes are very personalised to the student's needs: I have access to many different materials and can adapt the classes according to this. I always put more emphasis on speaking and writing, so the student shows me they can produce the language. I also want my classes to be fun and interesting, even with business topics. The idea is to make sure my student is making progress and also enjoying our classes together.

I DON'T CHARGE THE STUDENT for their first session with me. I believe we must have the opportunity to meet and decide if the classes are going to work for both of us.
After that, if we both want to do the classes, we agree a price per hour and I charge for the number of hours we plan to do in one month. The student must pay me at the beginning. If we have to cancel classes, the idea is to find a time to recover them before the end of the month. I don't return money for classes cancelled by students.
