Teaching Approach

Our 10 hours language course will give those who are interested in learning a new language a good start and is ideal for businesses wanting to give their employees a crash course as well as travellers. We have tried our best to be authentic in the pronunciation whilst ensuring it is easy to understand. Recommended for tourists and businesses alike.

Program Description

The sole purpose of the Dante Alighieri Society is to promote the study of languages and cultures throughout the world. A purpose independent of political ideologies, national or ethnic origins or religious beliefs: the Society is a free association of people - not just Italians - but all people everywhere who are united by their love for the Italian languages and culture and the spirit of universal humanism that these represent.

Teaching Experience

1. Giulia De Lorenzi - Italian teacher
Giul ia holds a Master degree in Italian language pedagogy and has extensive experience in teaching Italian as a foreign language in a third-level Anglophone environment. She received a Masters in “Italian language pedagogy as a second language (L2)” from the Università di Padova in 2009. Prior to her postgraduate studies, she obtained a degree in Italian Literature and Language – with a specialisatio n in Italian literature and theatre from the faculty of Letters and Philosophy of Università degli Studi di Milano in 2007.

2. Chiara Andreoletti - Italian teacher
Chia ra has been teaching Italian to foreigners since 2005. She is now completing a Ph.D. in Linguistics at Università Cattolica di Milano. Her studies and research concentrates on Second Language Learning with young children. She has earned a Master’s Degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature from Università Cattolica di Milano in 2005 and obtained the DITALS Certificate from Università per Stranieri di Siena in 2006. She achieved her Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from Università di Pisa in 2007

3. Minaxie Gwhala - Afrikaans teacher
Mina xie holds a bachelor degree in Law and later discovered the passion for teaching and education. She has the ability and understanding to fulfill the needs of her students.

4. Dasodha Yusuf - English teacher
Daso dha uses her training and experience in Education, Business and Coaching to help students gain confidence in the use of English to enhance the personal and business spheres of their lives. With over 20 years of experience, a degree major in English, honours in Education and several international ly recognised coaching qualification s, she is more than adequate in providing for your language needs.

5. Rolf Schimdt - German teacher
Rolf has been working at many SA schools teaching German and Communication strategy

6 . Lidy Jill Nielsen - Spanish teacher
Lidy is from Honduras with a long experience in teaching Kids and Adults. She got a Bachelor degree in Spanish literature at Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad de Mexico and a Master Degree in Visual Arts at UKZN.

7. Rimma Zakirova - Russian teacher
Rimm a got a Diploma as a Russian language teacher in 1996 in Kyrgyzstan. She has been working as a teacher in many Russian schools until 2004, before she moved to SA.
