MY APPROACH
“My primary goal is to provide the highest quality experience to my students in a fun, nurturing, and friendly environment”.
The first consultation is used to get to know you, your personality, aptitudes and expectations. A French Proficient Test of 30 minutes is given to assess your reading and comprehension skills to determine your level based on the CEFR standard level scale.
As my students' ages and levels vary, I design individualize d curriculums to help them with their goals and needs while providing the best teaching techniques to improve their weaknesses. My lessons’ plans are modern and proved to be my biggest asset to gain and keep the attention by actually using different resources such as: audios, videos, books, newspapers, worksheets, activities and French culture to make it enjoyable for anyone.
Stude nts learn differently so I use different ways to teach. Some students actually need to see the information, hear it or even write it. People also tend to learn at different paces. My goal is to challenge you, in all areas possible (Writing, reading fluency, conversationa l, grammar, conjugation, pronunciation etc.…) and make you comfortable as I present the material in a way that you will find interesting as you grasp the language.
I strongly believe that everyone has the potential to achieve success. As with everything worthwhile effort and patience is a prerequisite.

Program Description

Bonjour! I’m Djenebou Sidibe, a 22 years old native French speaker born and raised in Paris. I attended a French school where I obtained my baccalaureate L (Literature). After graduating school, I chose to pursue a higher education in the U.S. where I am currently living and studying. Having tutored students in private schools (in France and Ivory Coast where I am originally from), at home and for non-profit organizations for several years, I decided to teach full time, offering private lessons, group classes & other language services. I strive to find the method that works for each individual student, and I am always happy to adapt my lesson’s plan to best fit their needs.
PROGRAM S
Regular French course for 1 and group of (2 or 3 people)
Th e lessons are structured according to your level and I will work with you on improving your general French speaking abilities, verbal comprehension and writing skills. The Regular Lessons program is personalized to your level and is arranged to give you confidence in speaking about everyday life subjects mostly related to the situations found in your environment. New grammar points will also be introduced and practiced through exercises until you have a complete understanding on how they work.
Regular French course for 2 or 3
During the lesson, I will work with you on specific subjects relevant to your French learning goals which will all be practiced via different role plays, questioning and conversation - the goal is to have all of you feel comfortable by the end of the lesson with the new information you've gained.
Intensive French course
The Intensive program includes 3 to 4 sessions that should take place within a one -week period. The lessons focus on the comprehension and expression level of the student and are followed with 30 minutes of homework.
Th is program is designed for students who have a pressing desire or who have some available free time and wish to work more intensively.
French conversation
Every French conversationa l session is structured and personalized to the student's level and pace of learning - they are performed in a fun and stimulating atmosphere with an encouraging, experienced tutor.
During the Conversation Session, I will gently correct you as you speak and will provide the new vocabulary, expressions and corrections needed. I will motivate you to express your opinions, your thoughts, will debate with you, will have you answer and ask questions, will work on your pronunciation , will encourage you so that you can express yourself in French with more fluidity and up-to-date expressions.
French course for children (from 4 to 12)
Childr en learn quickly and are generally attracted and motivated to learn if the lesson is performed in a relaxing and fun atmosphere.
With the children program, your child can start at the age of 4 years old and it is suitable for children up until 12 years old! The sooner your child is exposed to language learning, the quicker he or she will learn and stay motivated to learn foreign languages. Studies have shown -- and experience has supported -- that children who learn a language before the onset of adolescence are much more likely to have native-like pronunciation . Learning a second language does not interfere with learning your native language properly – for example if the native language is English, a number of reports have demonstrated that children who have learned a second language earn higher SAT scores, particularly on the verbal section of the test!

**M ay I have a trial lesson?**
Yes, of course. A trial lesson is available. This entails booking the first lesson without having to pay first. You try a lesson and see if it is the right fit for you, your friends or family members. If you are pleased and would like to sign up, that counts as your first class. If you decide, for any reason, you don't want to sign up, you will not be charged. This is also a good way to test out your communication skills and allow you to meet me. Please feel free to contact me for further information.
How many classes do you recommend per week?
I recommend a minimum of 3 hours class per week.
How long will it take me to learn?
It is up to you..! If you are motivated and do your homework, you can be talking in 2-3 months.
Wi ll I be assigned homework?
Ye s, of course. If you are serious about the language, I recommend you do the homework I will give you after finishing our class. This is a very cost-effectiv e situation for you, as you are learning from my materials at no extra charge.
Wh ere will the lessons take place?
I use Skype to teach to my students that live all over the World. You will be able to see me via a webcam and communicate with me. The only difference that my Skype classes may have compared to a live in person class is that you and I won't be at the same place: you might be sitting on your couch at home while I will be working from my office or a public space. my attention will be focused only on you - allowing you to reach much better learning results. You will have my 100% attention. I will draw you into a conversation, and we will be both totally engaged. I will write to you the difficult sentences in Skype Instant Message, and will also give you a Lesson Transcript to review on your own. I am sure you will be amazed at your progress!
