You help them make associations, do not overthrow them with all the information at once. Afrikaans is a very difficult language to learn, let alone speak. Using books and cards will help

I have various helping middles. Both Hannes and myself passed year 12 in Afrikaans with these middles from our AFrikaans teacher in South Africa
