Teaching Approach

Teaching methods are contact classes through Skpe or Face Time. I focus on developing basic grammar skills, vocabulary and correct pronunciation . For Grammar , I would use Saral Sanskrit Shikshak texts published in English from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan. For pronunciation skills I would use mantra chanting as a tool for pronunciation skills as well as for vocabulary.
Depending on the need and knowledge of the student , the medium of instruction would be either Hindi or English .

Program Description

I would like to offer Sanskrit for beginners. The target students are mature learners who are interested in ancient Sanskrit texts like The Bhagavad Gita. The beginners programme is 24 hours programme with one lesson/week for six months.
It is a contact programme with specific text books which enable the student to start working in the language with ease and confidence.

Teaching Experience

I have been teaching English literature for sixteen years in a college in a central University in India.
I have learnt Sanskrit for many years and would like to teach Sanskrit as I love the language and the philosophy that it treasures.
This is my first attempt to venture into online teaching.

Teacher Training

I am a Ph.D from a renowned Central University in India.
I hold Certificate of Kovid in Sanskrit .
I am an Associate Professor in Dept.of English in one of the Central Universities in India.

Frequently Asked Questions

I can adjust my class time for an individual student according to his or her availability. It can be put up either on week day or on week end depending on mutual availability.
The group class would be scheduled on a week day from 7.30 to 8.30 pm Indian time.

Cost of Lessons

My lessons would cost Rs.2500/ per session per person.
