    Teaching Approach

The core of my teaching didactics is the student-cente red learning, also known as learner-cente red education, broadly encompasses methods of teaching that shift the focus of instruction from the teacher to the student. In original usage, student-cente red learning aims to develop learner autonomy and independence by putting responsibilit y for the learning path in the hands of students.Ther efore, the methods I usually use are:
The Silent Way - where my aim is to say as little as possible in order that the learner can be in control of what he wants to say. No use is made of the mother tongue.
Comm unity Language Learning - through which my aim is to build strong personal links between the teacher and student so that there are no blocks to learning.
The Natural Approach - which stresses the similarities between learning the first and second languages.
T he structural approach - which sees language as a complex of grammatical rules which are to be learned one at a time in a set order. So for example the verb "to be" is introduced and practised before the present continuous tense which uses "to be" as an auxiliary.
A ll of these I have combined in many forms, starting from live conversations to chatting on facebook or whatsapp.

    Program Description

Being a part of diverse international settings for many years now, language has earned an irreplaceable place in my life. Having studied in Macedonia, Albania, Slovenia, Switzerland and Austria, I not only had the need but moreover the wish and great pleasure, to master many languages in a proficiency level. This had been made possible not only by many professional language courses that I have followed from a young age, but also through the many experiences with people and friends. Hence, I have assisted for 3 years now many exchange students in getting familiar with the three languages which I master fluently: Albanian, Macedonian and English. This journey has started since my studies in Social Sciences in Slovenia, towards those of Peace and Conflict Transformatio n in Switzerland and Austria. Being a political scientist, these language-lear ning experiences are of an immense importance for me. As Critical Discourse Analysis is the core of my research methodology, semantics is my passion and the word is the driving strength of the same. Transcending professional growth and interest, language becomes a part of my very personal and private profile, hence sharing and receiving any growth regarding it, would be a true pleasure.
