Program Description

In order to address specific needs of a varied clientele I have carefully assembled tailored classes based on student's needs. I emphasize communication ability without neglecting grammar and vocabulary. This means maintaining learner-cente red lessons, where I try to lead students in natural conversation, role-plays and other language activities (grammar, pronunciation , writing skills). I have had great success with the use of videos, YouTube, music and other sources dialogue techniques to inspire and motivate the students learning.

Teaching Experience

 Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2010-2012)
I have been teaching Portuguese for foreigners since 2010 back in Brazil. Students included overseas professionals , university students doing internships in Rio and spouses of expatriates.
 Perth, Australia (2012 – current)
I have been teaching private classes of Portuguese for the last 2 years in Perth tutoring small groups and individuals of different nationalities . My students are mostly people interested in living in Brazil for a while.

Teacher Training

I have a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and I used to work as a Researcher and Teacher Assistant back in Brazil. During my undergraduate studies I developed a great interest in education and teaching, through an internship in public school and being part of a Brazilian research group studying learning/cogn itive process.
