Teaching Approach

I teach both adults and children, with whom I use arts and crafts to develop language skills, and take a creative approach to developing learning programmes which best suit my students needs.

All teaching is directed by my students needs whether that is conversation, basic grammar or something more formal.

Program Description

I am a Cambridge TESOL qualified English tutor with experience of teaching students of all levels and from a variety of countries.

I also have 10 years experience of delivering training to businesses and in writing and delivering programmes and presentations .

Teaching Experience

I have 4 years experience of teaching English as a foreign language in the UK to refugees as part of an Adult Education service. Following this I developed a volunteer programme for English students which supported them in gaining a national qualification and placement as volunteer mentors to other students.

I began working in the community sector where I gained valuable experience in business programme and strategic planning and where I developed a number of training courses to support organisations , where English was a second language, to form management groups, write policies and access funding. My roles in this sector enables me to develop excellent communication and presentation skills.

In France I have taught small groups of adults and children and have developed a programme of English language lessons for children which use arts, crafts and games to develop vocabulary and language skills.

How are lessons taught?
Indi vidual lessons can be taught either be phone or in person.

Wh ere are lessons taught?
Less ons are usually taught in La Coquille but I am happy to discuss travelling to students homes if they are within a reasonable distance.

When are lessons taught?
Less on schedules are flexible and can be given at any time including evenings and weekends. Most lessons will be on a weekly basis but this can be changed to work with students needs - for example, an intensive course may be provided if needed

When do I pay for my lessons?
pay ment for lessons must be in advance or at the start of each lesson. Where a series of lessons has been booked payment must be in advance or at the first lesson)

Ho w do i pay for my lessons?
pay ments can be made in cash or by cheque or credit/debit card (card payments must be received in advance)

W hat happens if I need to cancel a lesson?
If you need to cancel a lesson and you have already paid, this money can be used for your next lesson.
*Please note, students who cancel more than 3 lessons will be expected to pay for any subsequent cancellations . Students who cancel a booking for a series of lessons will receive a refund of 60% of their remaining fees.

Cost of Lessons

Lessons cost:
18€ per hour for individual lessons
12€ per hour for each student in groups of up to 4
10€ per hour for each student in groups of 4 - 8

7€ per hour for individual lessons for children
5€ per hour for children in groups of 3 - 10

*Your first lesson is half price!

A 20% discount is applied for students booking 10 or more lessons (payment in advance or at first lesson)

Ho urly rates for businesses can be discussed according to needs.
