Teaching Approach

When I'm teaching I use an approach I learned while teaching technology: let the student guide, correct mistakes immediately and encourage critical thinking about the task at-hand. This way a student cannot mentally disengage from the lesson; they must be fully involved. This creates a more meaningful experience with the learned material which creates higher retention. Because this way of tutoring and teaching is very flexible, I will help to create a custom plan for your individual abilities and requirements. I will always try to give you something you can take away and use immediately in your every day life.

Program Description

As a tutor it's my job to support whatever your current goals are. We will be using a mixture of media types and, if you would like, I will introduce you to tools other to maximize your learning and retention. For students this will mean using tools like mnemonic (memory) devices and rules-of-thum b (ie. "I before E except after C..."), translating and phrasing exercises, and casual and formal conversation skills.

Teaching Experience

I was taught to teach individuals and small groups by Apple, Inc. in 2007. From 2007 till 2011 I taught people from many industries and backgrounds. This was an incredible experience and taught me how to get the most and best out of a person.

Af ter Apple I became a consultant and taught and supported corporate clients.
