Teaching Approach

I always believed in a small classroom setting. One on one is ideally the most effective because it allows the teacher to focus on one student. Conversationa l english allows for practical english usage adding a wide variety of topics to discuss and cultural awareness.

Program Description

I truly believe that the most efficient and effective way to improve one's english abilities is to engage in conversations . With beginners I still think that a lesson study is needed that includes a lesson book, pronunciation , and vocabulary. With more advanced students topical conversations seem to be effective. This allows the student to widen his/her perspective on a topic as well as expanding his/her english abilities.

Teaching Experience

I've taught english in Chiba, Japan for one year at an english language school. I've also taught english in Shenyang, China for 3 years at an english language school and universities.

1. What is your teaching schedule?
I primarily work my schedule from 2:30pm, Monday -Thursday and Sundays. For those students who wish to have classes in the morning or who have conflicts with this schedule, arrangements are possible upon contact.
2. What is your payment policy?
I receive my monthly payments upfront, via cash or bank deposit.
3. I truly believe in my english teaching abilities and methods. I think the most important element between student and teacher is trust. Once that is established the learning curve for english in infinite. I've had quite a bit of experience in both classroom and private settings. I've assisted students to continue their education in the United States. My Korean background also is beneficial to students because I know and understand their needs.
4. Where are you from?
I'm Korean-americ an and I'm from Tennessee. I go to school in Michigan but my parents reside in Tennessee. I've lived in the States since I was 3 years old. I was born in Barcelona, Spain.

Cost of Lessons

For private conversationa l english I will charge $100 per hour.
For english grammar, pronunciation , conversation, and lesson study I will charge $120 per hour.
