My lessons are especially designed to suit each individual student's age and level of proficiency in the French language. I have hands on lessons, very interactive lessons, involving movement, music, higher level thinking and much more! There is of course, written components, as well as written and oral evaluations at the end of each session.

I am a Canadian born teacher, residing in Niagara Falls, N.Y. I have taught French Immersion and French language and culture for six years and am now interested in offering independent French teaching/tuto ring lessons.
I have spoken both French and English my entire life and have a passion for teaching. My courses are very active, not passive as I believe this is the only way to become fluent in another language. If you are just beginning to learn French, have already some knowledge or feel quite confident in the language, I can help strengthen your skills in written, conversation and reading.

Teaching Experience

I taught French Immersion in my home town of Hamilton, Ontario for four consecutive years. I was responsible for teaching, music, social studies, drama, visual arts, physical education and technology in the French language. My students were expected to converse with me each day, all day, in French.
I was also a French language and culture teacher for a private school in Buffalo, N.Y. for the 2003/04 school year. I was responsible for teaching French to students in grades 1, through 8. I created, planned and implemented my program based on very limited guidelines provided from the school.
I have also tutored students studying French, from the elementary age, through to the university level.

I hold a B.A. in French Language and Literature from the University of Ottawa and a Master's in Elementary Education from Niagara Unversity. I remain a member in good standing with the A.A.T.F.
I am a certified teacher in Ontario and in the state of New York.

N ot only have I been speaking French my entire life, but I was raised in Canada, where French is one of our two official languages. Furthermore, I have three children at home, all of whom have been taught to use the French language. I have always had a passion for the French language and for teaching and I am very proud of my professional reputation: my enthusiasm is contagious, my work ethic, superb and my interpersonal skills, absolutely excellent!
