Teaching Approach

In my teaching I use the "communicativ e approach" I like to stimulate my students to talk, talk and talk! It does not matter if you make mistakes because it only from the that you will learn the right way of say whatever you want.
I give also importance to writing, reading and of course the grammar which is the foundation of the language. Once you have understood how those rules work, the language is yours!!
A good mixture of communicative and traditional teaching along with commitment and desire to learn is the key of success!

Program Description

I offer lessons to all levels. All the learning material that I supply to each of my students is custom-tailor ed to the many different needs.
The way I work is very easy: after the lesson, your homework will be emailed to you and they will be emailed back to me after completion. At the beginning of the following class, we go over it together and clarify any questions/pro blems you may have. You decide how often you want lessons, and whether or not you want your lessons to be spoken in Italian only or if you want more conversation, more writing etc... It's up to you!

Teaching Experience

I have started teaching Italian since I have moved to Melbourne, Australia about 7 years ago. I started to work as an Italian Language assistant first in a primary school and the following year in a college and this gave me experience on how to teach both to children and teenagers. Not long after I started to teach to adults (all levels) in several Language schools here in Melbourne including the Italian Institute of Culture. I have also done a lot of private home tutoring for several people interested in learning Italian.

Teacher Training

I have got a Degree in Foreign Languages and Literature respectively English and Spanish. I graduated in Italy in 2001.
After graduation I went to Scotland where I did a course of English for Literary studies and after I moved to Australia.
The studying two different languages along with the study of linguistics has equipped me greatly in order to teach Italian. That has enabled me to see my language from the learner's point of view and to become able to meet their needs all the time with great success.
