I am a native English speaker with a TEFL certification and a year and a half of experience teaching ESL to Spanish-speak ers. I follow a communicative approach, encouraging as much real-life conversation in my lessons as possible. For private classes, I personalize my lessons to target the specific desires of my student. I make my classes as fun and interesting as possible with a mixture of reading, listening, and speaking to complement the grammar and vocabulary learned in each lesson. All classes are taught in English.

I offer private or small group classes that focus on communication and fluency. We will cover grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation , practiced through games, worksheets, and listening and reading activities.

Fundación En Vía- Oaxaca de Juarez, Mexico. English Program Coordinator, English Teacher. Currently working here. I teach English to adolescent students, provide support and suggestions to teachers, and work on curriculum development.
La Casa en el Árbol- San Cristóbal de las Casas, México. English Teacher Sept 2010-August 2011. I taught creative and dynamic lessons to students of all ages and levels and taught preparation classes for TOEFL, PET, IELTS, and TOEIC English exams.
Ies do Castro- Vigo, Spain, English Teaching Assistant March 2009. I assisted several English teachers with students of all grades and levels, from beginner to advanced. I also assisted in prepping advanced students for language tests.
Cam pus Pals- Raleigh, NC, Mentor Sept 2007-May 2010. I provided one-on-one tutoring for elementary school students 2 hours a week

What is your teaching schedule?
My schedule for teaching is fairly flexible; the only times I am not available are from 2-8 on Tuesdays and 3-8 on Thursdays. We can work together to find a schedule that is convenient for you.
What is your payment policy?
Paym ent must be made in cash before or on the day of the class, depending on the arrangements made with each student.
W hat is your cancellation policy?
Plea se notify me as soon as possible via email or text message if you cannot make a class. I will be happy to reschedule. If you fail to show up for 2 classes without notifying me ahead of time, I reserve the right to discontinue classes.

If I know someone else who wants classes, can we come together?
Ye s. I am more than happy to provide group classes to 2-4 students who have a reasonably similar level of English. Also, the cost per student will go down with more students in the class.
