For Latin, I mainly focus teaching with the goal of reading it. I focus on learning Latin to help expand one's English vocabulary as well as learning to enjoy reading the literature written in its original language. However, the student(s) will also learn the mythology, history, and culture of the ancient Romans.

I can teach or tutor Latin for beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. I have a bachelors in Latin from Wake Forest University, and I have been tutoring Latin for over 20 years. I taught Latin in the public school system for 2 years.
I can only tutor French on a beginning level. I have had French on a college level through the intermediate levels.

I have taught beginning, intermediate, and advanced Latin in the public school system for two years. In addition, I have been tutoring Latin at all levels since 1987.

I am flexible on this matter. I will be able to accomodate whatever
schedule needs you have.
(2) What is my payment policy?
I prefer to be paid before a scheduled lesson through PayPal.
(3) What other experiences make me an effective teacher?
In addition to my Latin teaching experience, I have also taught Sunday School, substituted in Special Education classes, and assisted my sister in homeschooling her special needs children. I have taught children with autism, ADHD, and other learning disabilities. This has shown me how to tailor my lessons to each individual student.

Cost of Lessons

Latin lessons in all levels cost $15 for 30 minutes and $25 and hour.
French lessons cost $10 for 30 minutes and $15 an hour.
