Teaching Approach

I am patient and enthusiastic with my teachings. If in person, I show objects and situations to help students memorize words and meanings. I encourage students to listen to Brazilian radio stations on the internet. I play games, sing songs, tell stories and am persistent.

Program Description

I have books brought from Brazil to teach Portuguese language to people of all ages; from small children to adults. I encourage students to write short sentences, listen to Brazilian music, watch Brazilian TV shows and movies and listen to radios on the internet. I also encourage students to speak Portuguese even if they don't feel comfortable with the language and risk making mistakes.

My experience tutoring began in Brazil when I was a high school student. I assisted younger students with Portuguese language/gram mar etc. I have been helping foreigners learn Portuguese since I was in my freshman year in Brazil studying communication s.

Bachelor's degree in communication s from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil
