There are three major aspects of language learning: Vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation . Danish grammar is actually relatively simple when compared to other languages. The nemesis of Danish for most English or American English speakers is the highly gutteral pronunciation . Over many years, I have mastered a number of tricks and techniques for teaching this. In person is best, but over the phone is possible.
I also use a specific text for my beginning and intermediate students which I have found highly effective in quickly grasping grammatical concepts while at the same time building vocabulary in a fun environment of stories, dialog and exercises which I ask the students to complete prior to each lesson. This allows me to assess strengths and weaknesses on a lesson by lesson basis and work with them.
I am also a nationally recognized public speaker, educator and trainer in my industry, which is financial services related, so I understand the importance of making learning fun and entertaining. I also have lived and worked in Denmark and understand the business environment there.

I have been teaching/tuto ring Danish for over thirty years. Additionally I was a Training Manager for a major insurance company for eight years. I have been adjunct professor at The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania in their Master of Science in Financial Services program.
I was also Director of Education and Training for a major insurance brokerage agency for a number of years, and I currently provide training and education for a number of insurance and financial advisors in Alaska.

My schedule is flexible, but generally lessons are after 5:00 PM weekdays or anytime weekends, Alaska Standard/Dayl ight time, which is one hour behind California, four hours behind Eastern.
M y payment policy is cash or a check at the time each class is completed.
It is the responsibilit y of the student to furnish the recommended text, which can be easily obtained at a low cost on websites such as Amazon.
If there is significant travel (e.g. Mat-Su Valley, Seward, etc.) the student pays for mileage and any incidental expenses as agreed.

$35 per person per lesson for classes which run an hour to an hour and a half. Same price for private lessons and tutoring.
