Teaching Approach

First of all, teaching means to make a positive influence on the life of my students. I believe that through education a pupil will be in possession of the necessary skills to build a successful life. Enhancing my pupils’ critical thinking is extremely important and my endeavour is to make it possible for them to utilise the contents of my courses in practice. As a teacher, my responsibilit y is to make sure that learning takes place in a safe, supportive environment.
I am convinced that a teacher should be a facilitator. I believe that teaching should be centred around the students and their interests. In a classroom setting the teacher’s primary goal is to create the atmosphere in which students are able to have an experience with their new language. I employ structure in the classroom combing routines and procedures to help students be comfortable and confident in class. I adopt interesting learning activities during my lessons in order to grab the attention of my pupils and motivate them to learn. Students’ active participation as learners and thinkers helps them enjoy learning and arouse their interest.
I believe that being an effective teacher embraces different roles. Besides teaching curriculum, a successful teacher has to take learning skills and interpersonal communication into consideration and should be an advocate for the students. Motivation, which can make the difference between success and failure, is my primary importance.I am strongly aware that each student needs an education tailored to his or her strengths and needs.
