By customizing my approach to my students' learning styles, I make language learning more accessible to them. My students get out of their seats, move, do. They are rarely bored -- language learning should be a fun way of unlocking a culture!

Program Description
|
|
|
After assessing the students' language needs, I modify my teaching, which is based upon a communicative approach, to help them master the oral, listening, speaking and written forms they need to move beyond their beginning level(s). We do this through role play, reading, games, and other fun approaches so language is learned in a relaxed, enjoyable manner that's easier to retain.

I have taught at the university level, as well as at the grade school, middle and high school levels for 8 years. I also have tutored privately during that time, mainly working with high school students who were struggling to do an on-line French program at a local private school that no longer offered classes.

Quest ion: What is your teaching schedule?
An swer: I am free most evenings and some weekends, 7-9 PM MST. Custom schedules may be arranged as needed.
Qu estion: What is your payment policy?
Answ er: Once I submit my hours via email, payment is due via paypal within 3 days.
Ques tion: What other relevant experience makes you a more effective teacher?
Ans wer: Because I have taught a variety of ages and have raised children myself, I have an assortment of approaches at my disposal. I am creative, and have learned to adjust quickly when a given approach is not working. I do not waste time by rigidly teaching in just one way!
Quest ion: Do you like teaching languages?
A nswer: I do. I believe that languages are the keys to opening cultural doors, to making lifelong friends and having meaningful interactions with people who do not speak English. I believe whole-hearted ly that learning a second, third or more languages makes you and the world better.
