Though I earned my law degree in 1997, teaching and language have always been my great passions in life. Leading a class and being able to help students learn more effectively fascinates me. The study of languages has been a huge part of my life since early childhood. I have been teaching English, Spanish and Portuguese as Second Languages for the last 10 years at high schools and language academies in Brazil. Preparing students for the International English and Spanish Certificates is a particular area of expertise. My love of knowledge has always led me to strive for excellence in my own studies and in my students’.

M aking classes challenging and fascinating
Inspired enormously by Professor Carl Sagan, my philosophy is that learning must be an adventure.. After graduating in law in 1997, I decided to start my teaching career, challenging students to always learn more by creating interactive activities and bringing interesting topics to class.
In 2002, I was invited and certified by the American University in Washington, D.C. to help undergraduate language students develop ESL workshop material. My experience as a language instructor in Brazil was part of their curriculum that year. Working with US ESL instructors was a very rewarding experience.

3 honor grades at ECPE – University of Michigan, 2008
I passed the ECPE (Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English) issued by the University of Michigan with 3 honor grades (writing, speaking and grammar).
I was recognized by Colégio Expoente as one of the two best teachers of English and Spanish during the year 2006, and my story about learning languages was published in their nationwide magazine On Education. The Expoente Educational group has offices in 20 Brazilian states.
Spec ialist Degree in English Language – 2004
The Members of Examination Board for Theses Presentations for the Specializatio n in English Language Program at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná state recommended that I be awarded the Specialist Degree in English Language, Translation and the Art of Teaching for receiving a grade of 9.0 out of 10 for my thesis, “The Influence of the Invasions of Great Britain on the Constitution of Contemporary English”.
