Teaching Approach

Cantonese is essentially a spoken language. It is also a tonal language where the tone used for each syllable is vital to its meaning. This is why I believe the oral element is very important in learning Cantonese. All my email courses have sound files to ensure that you are learning the correct tone. In addition to email lessons, I'm also happy to arrange Netmeeting lessons with students who require additional tuition.

Program Description

I'm a native Cantonese speaker and have lived in the UK since 1985 so I am also fluent in English. I have prepared structured lessons for Cantonese learners from beginners to advanced. These can be delivered via emails, with unlimited email support.

Cost of Lessons

Cost of email lessons will depend on topic but typically start at £20 per module, each module being a small area in Cantonese learning ('Greetings & Thank You', 'Tones', 'Pronunciatio n' are examples of the modules I have developed).

Cost of additional privately arranged Netmeeting lessons will be charged at £30 (GBP) an hour, or £15 per half hour.
