Teaching Approach

My programs are not mainstream. My teaching approach is not geared towards taking a test, but towards immersing oneself in the language and culture of The Netherlands or any other Dutch-speakin g areas around the world.

Program Description

I believe in immersion. Students will speak and hear only Dutch and in this way get a general understanding . Lesson plans are simple. Later, Dutch culture and some history will be taught. Students will also learn through music and literature. I am fluent in Dutch and English, but I am not limited to those.

Teaching Experience

I have little teaching experience, but I strongly believe in my methods. I have taught young children about nature and the world.

I graduated from the Gymnasium and have no other certification s. I have learned through experience and self-teaching .

Frequently Asked Questions

I have never done this before and am very open to everything from number of students to payment. I would prefer room and board to higher payment.

I have lived in the Netherlands (Homeland), Belgium, America, and I will be living in Italy this summer for several months to learn Italian from my aunt and have taught myself much about the world. I love sharing my knowledge and am very proud of my heritage, but open to other cultures and languages. Besides Dutch and English, I also speak German well and some Spanish. I hope to have an advanced knowledge of Italian by next winter.
