First of all, you can choose whether to learn Chinese through English in which way many people feel comfortable, or learn through pure Chinese (sounds challending but really safe and fun)
Secon dly, a large amount of real, funny, useful learning materials are gathered, recreated or designed, to make the "contexts" more "real". Even if you are not able to take advantage of the communities in Beijing, you won't miss the chances of learning how to communicate in Chinese.

The most important point of all is that the process of learning a language should be happy. I hope my students all enjoy themselves in class.
Tea ching should also be effective. With over 3 years' experience in teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages, I know the easy items and the difficult ones, I know which items are perfect to begin with in the various of contexts and how to build the connections between old lessons and new knowledge. Knowing the differences and similarities between Chinese and English, I teach with special methods and techniques which make it much easier for English speakers to gain and master Chinese language.
lessons are tailored according to the learning context and the learner's needs/whishes of learning.
I have taught many different subjects including Chinese writing, reading, Chinese characters, grammar, Conversations , Chinese culture, HSK and CSP (Chinese for special purpose, such as Chinese for business, Chinese for academic purpose).

Teaching Experience

Teach small classes (4-5) ranging from 7 to 15 years old at beginner's level in Edinburgh Community Chinese School since March 2010.
Teac h private Chinese lessons in Edinburgh since April, 2009.
Teach Chinese to Adult learners in Beijing from August 2006 to June 2008.
3 months English teaching experience in a secondary school in Nanjing, China, immediately after graduated from university in 2006.

Negotiable. but I'm teaching at a rate of 20 per hour per person for private tutoring at the moment.There are also Mandarin courses available with the teaching hours and location fixed and an assessment at the end of the term.The courses are specially designed for beginners and upper beginners to enable them to make basic communication s and to get them ready for further study.Fees are based upon hours and course types.
